Police say 24-year-old Vanessa Richmond-Jones of Indianapolis was driving westbound on State Road 332, and attempted to turn left onto County Road 500 W. She turned into Weaver’s path, and he struck the passenger’s side of her Jeep, ejecting him from his bike.
Weaver was not wearing a helmet at the time and died from his injuries at IU Health’s Ball Memorial Hospital. Richmond-Jones was not injured.
Police gave a reminder to drivers to be aware of motorcycles when turning left.
