Based on the preliminary investigation, it appears a silver 2004 Saturn Vue (SUV) was traveling eastbound 96th Street near Wild Cherry Lane. The silver 2004 Saturn Vue collided with a green 2006 Kia Sportage (SUV), which was also traveling eastbound on 96th Street. The Saturn then traveled across the roadway and struck a large tree on the north side of 96th Street.
The driver of the silver Saturn (Bobby Carlow) was pronounced deceased at the scene as result of his injuries.
The driver of the green Kia (Trina Price) was transported to St. Vincent hospital on 86th street with minor injuries.
