Metro police are investigating following a fatal crash on the city’s south side.
It happened on South Sherman Drive and Southport Road around 11:45 Sunday night when a man lost control of his classic 1960’s Chevy.
He was T-boned by a pickup truck heading in the opposite direction and was pronounced dead at the scene by the time officers arrived.
The female passenger in the pickup truck fractured her leg, while the driver sustained only minor injuries.
Police believe both speed and alcohol played a role in the wreck.
