Anderson police are searching for a driver after a woman is killed in an early morning hit-and-run.
Police said a body was found on the 2200 block of W. 16th Street early Thursday morning.
APD officers were sent to around 2:00 a.m. and found a woman unresponsive and lying along the street with injuries.
Surveillance cameras from a nearby home appear to show the deadly hit-and-run.
You can’t see the type of car being driven or the victim, but the video shows a pair of headlights drive down 16th street, then stop for just over 10 seconds, before driving away.
A short time later police were called to that exact spot and found a 52-year-old woman dead.
The victim, suffered serious health problems before her death and was believed to be walking to her mother’s home at the time of the crash.
